Why people use GenApps

Most tool websites upload your files to their servers, queue them, and sometimes keep copies. GenApps is built differently: every tool runs with JavaScript directly in your browser. Your passport photo, your PDF and your invoice data never leave your device — which is why the tools are instant, work on slow connections, and stay free.

The collection focuses on jobs people actually search for: compressing a photo to the exact kilobyte limit an application form demands (FPSC and PPSC want ≤30 KB, NADRA ≤50 KB), making a correctly sized passport photo at home, working out a loan EMI before visiting a bank, generating a GST-ready invoice, or checking a typing speed before a government job test.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?
Yes — every tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The site is supported by advertising, which is why we can keep file processing free.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Image compression, PDF merging, photo making and everything else happens locally in your browser. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use the standard published formulas (reducing-balance EMI, compound interest, Naegele’s rule for due dates, Mifflin–St Jeor for calories) and show results to two decimals. They are planning estimates — for loans, taxes and health decisions, confirm final figures with your bank, tax authority or doctor.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Yes. Every tool is mobile-first and works in any modern phone browser — useful when a form deadline hits and you only have your phone.

How to compress an image to 100 KB

  1. Add your photo or scanned document using the upload box above (or drag and drop it).
  2. The target is pre-set to 100 KB — a common limit on university and visa upload portals. Adjust it only if your portal states a different limit.
  3. Press “Compress image”. Quality is reduced gradually until the file fits, instead of shrinking the page aggressively.
  4. Download the JPG and attach it to your application.

About this tool

Why 100 KB? Admission and visa portals need documents they can actually read — a degree or certificate squeezed to 30 KB can turn blurry — while still keeping uploads small. 100 KB is the common middle ground: enough for a legible A4 scan or a clear portrait photo, and small enough for slow connections.

Worked example: a 1.8 MB scan of a matric certificate compressed with the 100 KB preset lands just under 100 KB (about 94% smaller). Because quality is reduced gradually rather than the page being shrunk, the text stays readable for an admissions officer zooming in.

Frequently asked questions

Which uploads usually ask for 100 KB?
University and college admission portals, many visa application uploads and scholarship forms commonly cap images at 100 KB. Your portal’s instructions always win — if it states a different limit, change the target in the tool before compressing.
Will a scanned document stay readable at 100 KB?
Generally yes for a single A4 page: the compressor lowers quality step by step instead of shrinking the page first, which keeps text edges legible. Very dense pages (small print, tables) are the hardest — check the preview before submitting.
Should I scan documents as JPG or PNG?
JPG. A PNG scan of a document is usually far larger, and this tool outputs JPG, which portals accept almost everywhere.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No — everything runs in your browser, so certificates and ID documents stay on your device.
