Why people use GenApps

Most tool websites upload your files to their servers, queue them, and sometimes keep copies. GenApps is built differently: every tool runs with JavaScript directly in your browser. Your passport photo, your PDF and your invoice data never leave your device — which is why the tools are instant, work on slow connections, and stay free.

The collection focuses on jobs people actually search for: compressing a photo to the exact kilobyte limit an application form demands (FPSC and PPSC want ≤30 KB, NADRA ≤50 KB), making a correctly sized passport photo at home, working out a loan EMI before visiting a bank, generating a GST-ready invoice, or checking a typing speed before a government job test.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?
Yes — every tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The site is supported by advertising, which is why we can keep file processing free.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Image compression, PDF merging, photo making and everything else happens locally in your browser. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use the standard published formulas (reducing-balance EMI, compound interest, Naegele’s rule for due dates, Mifflin–St Jeor for calories) and show results to two decimals. They are planning estimates — for loans, taxes and health decisions, confirm final figures with your bank, tax authority or doctor.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Yes. Every tool is mobile-first and works in any modern phone browser — useful when a form deadline hits and you only have your phone.

How to compress an image to 30 KB

  1. Add your photo using the upload box above (or drag and drop it). JPG, PNG and WebP are accepted.
  2. The target size is already set to 30 KB — the limit FPSC, PPSC and similar forms ask for. You can change it if your form asks for a different size.
  3. Press “Compress image”. The tool lowers JPEG quality first and only reduces the dimensions if the file still does not fit.
  4. Download the compressed JPG and upload it to your application form.

About this tool

Why 30 KB? Exam commissions and government job portals (FPSC, PPSC, NTS and many university job forms) store huge numbers of application photos; a 30 KB cap keeps their servers fast, so the limit is strict — 31 KB is rejected just like 3 MB. Most forms also ask for a recent passport-style photo, so use a clear, front-facing picture rather than a scanned document.

Worked example: a 2.4 MB phone photo (about 4000×3000 px) compressed with this 30 KB preset comes out just under 30 KB — roughly 99% smaller. The compressor binary-searches JPEG quality first; only if the photo still does not fit does it reduce the dimensions a step at a time, so a simple portrait against a plain background usually keeps more detail than a busy group photo.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my FPSC / PPSC form reject my photo?
Almost always the file size: these forms cap uploads at 30 KB, and a phone photo is usually 2–5 MB. Compress it here with the 30 KB preset and re-upload the downloaded JPG.
Will a 30 KB photo still look clear?
For an application-form portrait, yes. The tool reduces quality gradually and keeps the dimensions as large as the limit allows. Busy backgrounds compress worse than plain ones — a plain wall behind you gives the clearest result.
The form says “less than 30 KB”. Is 29.x KB safe?
Yes — the compressor targets just under 30 KB (it aims for 99.5% of the limit), so the downloaded file is accepted by forms that enforce a strict under-30-KB rule.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Compression happens in your browser with the Canvas API — your photo never leaves your device.
