Why people use GenApps

Most tool websites upload your files to their servers, queue them, and sometimes keep copies. GenApps is built differently: every tool runs with JavaScript directly in your browser. Your passport photo, your PDF and your invoice data never leave your device — which is why the tools are instant, work on slow connections, and stay free.

The collection focuses on jobs people actually search for: compressing a photo to the exact kilobyte limit an application form demands (FPSC and PPSC want ≤30 KB, NADRA ≤50 KB), making a correctly sized passport photo at home, working out a loan EMI before visiting a bank, generating a GST-ready invoice, or checking a typing speed before a government job test.

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?
Yes — every tool is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. The site is supported by advertising, which is why we can keep file processing free.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Image compression, PDF merging, photo making and everything else happens locally in your browser. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use the standard published formulas (reducing-balance EMI, compound interest, Naegele’s rule for due dates, Mifflin–St Jeor for calories) and show results to two decimals. They are planning estimates — for loans, taxes and health decisions, confirm final figures with your bank, tax authority or doctor.
Can I use these tools on my phone?
Yes. Every tool is mobile-first and works in any modern phone browser — useful when a form deadline hits and you only have your phone.

How to compress an image to 200 KB

  1. Add your profile or application photo using the upload box above (or drag and drop it).
  2. The target is pre-set to 200 KB — the maximum many job portals allow. Using the full 200 KB budget preserves detail in faces and clothing.
  3. Press “Compress image”. The compressor searches for the highest quality that still fits under 200 KB.
  4. Download the JPG and upload it to the portal or your profile page.

About this tool

Why 200 KB? Profile photos are judged by humans, not just stored: recruiters and clients actually look at them. Job portals therefore allow a larger photo — 200 KB is a frequent cap — so the picture stays sharp on modern screens while uploads stay fast.

Worked example: a 3 MB portrait from a phone camera compressed with the 200 KB preset finishes just under 200 KB (about 93% smaller), typically at a quality level where skin texture and hair detail survive — visibly sharper than the same photo squeezed to 30 KB. The photo also keeps its original dimensions whenever the size fits at full size, which is common at this target.

Frequently asked questions

Why do job portals allow 200 KB when exam forms allow only 30 KB?
A profile photo is part of how you present yourself, so portals trade a little storage for a visibly sharper picture. Exam forms only need to identify you, so they use the smallest practical cap.
How much sharper is 200 KB than 30 KB?
Roughly six times the data budget. Fine detail — hair, fabric texture, facial features — survives at 200 KB that a 30 KB squeeze has to smooth away. For a profile photo, always use the largest size the portal allows.
What dimensions should a profile photo be?
Most portals display profile photos small (a few hundred pixels across) and often crop to a square. This tool keeps your photo’s original dimensions when they fit the size limit; if a portal shows a square preview, crop the photo square first with any photo editor, then compress it here.
Is my photo private?
Yes. Compression runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
